Garden Design

Good garden design is at the core of the services I deliver. Providing a personalised garden design service means listening closely to what my customers have in mind, then balancing this sensitively to the needs of the local environment. And of course the demands of the available budget. It’s a balancing act, but that’s all part of the challenge.

I operate from Buxton in the Peak District. The area I cover includes the Peaks and the Derbyshire Dales, each area has its own special character, particularly when it comes to challenging the garden designer, but that’s part of the joy of working in this area.

My garden design services are not exclusive to the Peak District though, I work in all the surround counties, including Staffordshire and Cheshire.

I have been designing gardens since 2002. My garden designs are supported with a wide range of complementary services, including landscaping, planting, and incorporating the increasing demands for garden utilities and furniture.

What constitutes a good garden design is subjective. My designs tend to focus on the natural environment. I am passionate about wildlife and nature, and work however I can to preserve and enhance local environments, by creating habitats in which local plants and wildlife can thrive. This can be anything from a living shed roof to an entire landscaped wildlife garden design. All the time focusing on the needs of my customers. For me a good garden is a happy one — giving pleasure to its owner, while serving local wildlife.

Over the years I’ve enjoyed tackling a wide variety of challenges, and benefit from a wealth of experience that supports every design project.
