The Design:

The Design
A river-side garden in the High Peak.
A looping path links the lawn with the shady riverside, pergola and pond. Curving hedges divide the garden.

Lush grasses and irises, with colourful perennials and structural shrubs. The pond and beaching provide excellent habitat for a range of invertebrates.

Woodland Walk:

Shade loving plants
The woodland walk is edged with shade lovers - Christmas box, Kirengeshoma palmata, anemones and Euphorbia.

...Hot Planting

Hot planting scheme

To create a sense of peace in the garden, clashes of colour have been avoided. Blues and pinks have been kept separate from hot reds, for example.

Thanks go to Nick Marshall and his landscaping team, for their hard work in transforming this garden with the pond, pergola and stonework. (Full contact details available on request.)
